Artist Statement
My lifelong interest in the effect of color led me in the direction of utilizing non- conventional methods and medium to reach the intense color depths that are so prevalent and create a unique piece that is truly a one of a kind. Having lived in South Florida, New Mexico, Northern areas of the Rocky Mountain regions has allowed me to see so many natural effects through color and light.
It is within these reflections that lead me to imaginative creations through my paintings. My inspiration is to create a work of art that people will continue to discover the richness of colors and effects that are displayed throughout my pieces. I strive to create paintings that will allow and encourage the opportunity to gaze within the painting itself. This is crucial to me as art is clearly in the interpretation of what one visualizes or conceptualizes through both sight and sound.
