Pastels are a unique painting medium in that the colors are mixed on the paper by overlaying or blending, rather than on a palette to create alluring landscapes, animal portraits and cityscapes. As a drawing media, it makes impressive use of color to create tonality and depth.
Susan Gore Gardner has been creating affectionate landscapes of the South and portraits of its wildlife for 29 years. Trained initially as a painter, for the last two decades the artist has immersed herself in the art of pastel drawing. She was a finalist in the Georgia Wildlife Stamp competition and her wildlife art was featured in juried gallery exhibits including the Salmagundi Club in New York, St. Hubert's Giralda in Madison, New Jersey, the Galerie Triangle in Washington DC and the S. Brown Gallery in Buckhead, Georgia.
Suzie Majikol-Maier was born and raised in Penampang Sabah, Malaysia. From an early age, drawing has always been her love, passion and focus. This passion has lead her on a quest, a global odyssey to find her own path in creating the artwork she is doing today.
Maier obtained her fine arts degree from the School of Art & Design, Mara Institute of Technology, Shah Alam Malaysia in 1985. As an artist who responds to color, Maier's work portrays distinct impressionistic influences.
A recipient of several awards for artistic achievement, Maier's work appears in private collections in Malaysia, Singapore,
United Kingdom, Japan and the United States. She is represented by the Sabah Art Gallery in Malaysia

Gallery 4463, is located on Cherokee Ave, just less than a mile from I-75 (Glade Road Exit) in the heart of Historic Downtown Acworth. The Gallery was launched and continues to be operated by a group of professional artists who are committed to the idea of creating a quality fine arts gallery that is unique – a resource for professional artists, a center for fine arts in our town and community and ultimately a magnet for art patrons from all over north Georgia.
The Gallery provides an ongoing program of monthly featured artist exhibits, classes by prominent area artists and other cultural activities.
